CYGYC, S.A. was founded in 1970 in the city of Barcelona by Messrs. Jaime Grau Durio and Pere Calmet Sarró, as a company engaged in the manufacture and supply of detergents for the beer-making industry.
In 1974, it came to an agreement with the Irish multinational company BIOCON Limited to formulate and distribute enzymes for the beer industry on the basis of the creation of a state subsidiary of this multinational. Later, the field of action of both companies widened to other sectors and markets, but always related to the world of the food industry.
Since then CYGYC, S.A. has concentrated on the development, production and commercialisation of detergents, while bringing in BIOCON's enzymatic technology.
CYGYC has built itself an enviable reputation in its 35 years of life, as an innovative company that develops and produces high quality detergents, disinfectants and other auxiliary products, as well as chemical specialities for the beer, dairy, processed food industries and especially for the hostelry and institutional markets.
 In these sectors, the trademark "PRODUCTES OXA" has enabled the consolidation of the position of its products as a referent of quality, always accompanied by service to the distributor and the customer and the permanent search for technological innovation and care of the environment.
